Even just one Summer Session at Delphi Academy can have a big impact on a camper's
life. Students visiting from a foreign country can make great improvements in their
English, while local students may benefit from the personalized study program, hands-on
learning and one-on-one assistance. Add in the camping trips, day excursions, special
projects and themes, and it's easy to see that all the adventures in learning make
a Delphi Summer unforgettable!
Take a look at some of the responses from our students and their parents to get
a sense of what can be accomplished in just one summer.

Success Stories from Students
I really liked Summer at Delphi!!! It was really fun!!! I learned a lot of cool
things. I also liked all the field trips and cool activities. Some of them were
archery, horseback riding, ice cream making, Sky High trampoline gym, beach trips,
water slides, baseball camp and best of all - MOVIE MAKING!!!
The movie I made was called The Queen's Ball. The actors were Anjali as the
princess, the bike girl and as flight attendant. Franchesca was the princess and
flight passenger reading the newspaper. Bennett was the robber/criminal. Ben was
the piano player and Aaron was the band conductor and a flight passenger. Lee was
FBI agent Starfox and dancer. Harrison was a security guard and a dancer. The story
was about two rich girls who go to a ball and have to give jewels to the queen.
But the jewels got stolen so they gave her a ball and said that they were inside.
The robber thought there was money inside the ball so while everyone was dancing
he knocked people out so he would not get caught and tried to steal the ball but
instead went to jail. The End.
So that's just an example of a movie, but you can do whatever you want. We had a
movie premiere where everyone saw our movies.
On the last day of summer we got to go to Great America. We got to go on as many
rides as we wanted to. The rides were very cool. At the end of the day we had to
say good bye to all our friends. But it was cool that we met so many new friends.
One of the things Delphi got to do was sing the National Anthem at the San Jose
Grand Prix. We were workers and we had our duty. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We also go camping where the teachers and the kids go to a campground and camp there
for three to four days. We go hiking, swimming, fishing and a lot more.
Those are just some of the things we do in summer. If you want to know more, come
to Summer at Delphi. You will have the best S U M M E R ! ! !
—Anjali, age 8
Hi, I am a Delphi Academy student in the county of Santa Clara. In the year of 2007
I tried out the Delphi Academy Summer program. After a week, I felt like I had joined
a great school where I could learn more. At the end of August, I told my family
that I wanted to go here for the fall. I learned a lot.
If you would like your child to learn a lot more and clear any gaps in their studies,
try out Delphi Academy. I guarantee lots of progress with their learning ability.
The reason I am telling my story is because I learned so much more and improved
in school. So try it out and see what your child could do at Delphi.

Summer at Delphi worked for me because it was the most fun way to finish my Form!
The best time I had was when we went watersliding! I slipped off my board many times
but it was always fun.
We also got to sing the National Anthem for the San Jose Grand Prix! At the Grand
Prix we got to get a behind-the-scenes peek of the cars and drivers' trailers and
we got autographs from the drivers! It was great!
When we went to do archery I shot the coyote picture in the bulls eye! We went to
a camping trip and got to go on a pedal boat and ride around a big lake. Our boat
was the first to pedal around the lake and around a mini-island but at the very
end when we were close to the docks we got stuck and I jumped onto land, pushed
the boat back into the water and then jumped back on! I had a great time at Delphi!

I really like summer at Delphi! First, Baseball was really fun! We got to practice
and play games, with a picnic. It was for 3 weeks! The Form 1 class is so lucky
'cause they got to go to Ardenwood Farm!
We have beach trips and aquariums, tide tools, museums, rock climbing on campus,
Sky High trampolines, the Piers, a sleep-over on campus, baseball games, archery,
zoos, ranches, movie making, and finally, Great America. There is so much to learn.
We also have swimming every week for 8 weeks.
I had fun making silent movies! We were in teams and we wrote and acted in our own
movies that were edited on the iMac computers. The Premiere was spectacular. I wore
a silk shirt from France and walked the red carpet. We had the Delphi Academy Awards
and popcorn.
Baseball Camp: it was a 3 week session with Coach Ernie every Tuesday and Thursday.
We had a big game at the end with a BBQ! All the kids learned how to play and learned
the basics of baseball.
Everyone should come to Delphi for the summer. It will be really fun, trust me.

Success Stories from Parents
What I noticed most about my son during the Summer of 2007 was how grown up he became.
Dario was working on finishing up Form 1. He was really motivated and having the
summer to complete this Form was a big goal for him. He was invited to go on one
of the Form 2 camping trips. When he came back he told me about the creek walking
and exploring, how he packed up his own things and helped cook. I think what happened
for him was he felt so successful in his studies and had so much fun exploring and
learning new things that he really opened up his view of school and what he can
do with his studies. He has decided that he wants to be an archaeologist. I think
the Delphi Program really supports a child's motivation to create a vision for themselves.
—Parent I.V. of Santa Clara
Julia is definitely going to come back to the summer program this year. She had
such a good time last year and her English has got a lot better since then. As a
matter of fact, she got the highest score in her class for the English final test
this semester. She is very thrilled about that.
—Parent Y.C., from China
Both of my kids had a great time at Delphi last summer. Delphi's programs are very
age-appropriate, so my four-year old loved going to the ranch, the farm and having
the younger kids' waterslide on campus, while my ten-year old enjoyed going to the
waterslide park, going camping and being a part of the San Jose Grand Prix Opening
Ceremonies. Both of them enjoyed spending the summer with their friends and they
made a lot of progress academically as well. They were safe, happy, learned a lot
and had all kinds of brand new experiences—what more could a parent ask for
in a summer program? I loved the creativity the kids showed in the movies they wrote
and filmed. I loved the team spirit they showed at the baseball game playoffs. Thanks,
Delphi, for such an enriching and fun summer program!
