Procedure

Our enrollment procedure begins with the completion of an Application for Admission. This is obtainable from the Head of Admissions, Maria Agrillo, and is given following a school Tour or can be mailed to students arriving from a distance. All prospective Delphi Academy parents are given a tour of the school to gain a thorough understanding of our philosophy, study methods and curriculum. On this tour of the school's facilities, parents visit the classrooms and see them in action.

Once the Application is complete, it is signed by the persons indicated and submitted to the Delphi Academy Head of Admissions along with the application fee. If the student is transferring to Delphi Academy from another school, copies of the student's report cards for the past two years and any available standardized test scores are included as well.

An Evaluation Day is then set up for the student to visit the school for a full class day where he/she will be spending time in the classroom becoming familiar with the teacher, the schedule and curriculum while making friends. During this visit the student will be evaluated to determine his/her qualification for the school and his/her correct placement level in mathematics, reading and overall academics.

Once an enrollment application has been evaluated, interviews completed and academic records and test scores reviewed, the student and parents are notified as to whether the student has been accepted. Because of the individualized nature of the Delphi program, students may begin at any time during the school year upon receiving notice of admission. Most students begin in September, January or in June, at the start of the summer session.
